🎉 PRES Volunteer Fair 2026: Connecting Youth With Community Opportunities 🤝

On August 23, 2026, Peel Region Educational Services (PRES) hosted its Volunteer Fair at the Frank McKechnie Community Centre in Mississauga, bringing together youth, community members, volunteers, and nonprofit organizations for an afternoon focused on connection, involvement, and community impact.

The fair gave attendees the opportunity to speak directly with local organizations, learn about available volunteer roles, and discover new ways to get involved in their communities. For many youth, the event was also a chance to explore different causes, build connections, and find volunteer opportunities that matched their interests and goals.

Throughout the afternoon, attendees were able to visit organization booths, ask questions, learn more about ongoing programs, and connect with representatives from a variety of community-focused organizations. Participating organizations included Ivan Franko Homes, Super Athletes Ontario Inc., Association for Canadian Educational Resources, Urban Minds, Future Achievers, Volunteering Peel, Inclusion in Canadian Sports Network, Toronto Region Educational Services, York Region Educational Services, Uplus Community, and Peel Region Educational Services.

Beyond connecting attendees with volunteer opportunities, the fair created a welcoming space for organizations to meet one another, share their work, and build new community connections.

The event would not have been possible without the support of the PRES staff and volunteers who helped with planning, outreach, registration, setup, attendee guidance, booth support, and event operations. Their contributions helped create an organized and engaging experience for everyone who attended.
